What kind of force does it take to break a spindle?

I am curious, as to what kind of force it takes to break a spindle?

depends on the angle of the force and type of force. they are built stronger in certian areas to withstand more force.

They seem pretty sturdy, I'm sure one great amount of force or alot of stress overtime could break just about anything though.
