What type of shocks?
I know, i know there are a ton of threads out there about shock preferences but they all seem to be for lifted trucks. My 02 ranger 4x4 has a completely stock suspension besides a cranked T-bar. I am thinking about doing either Ranchos or Bilstiens. What should i get?

i hear ranchos are pretty stiff. i might try them next. i like my pro comps though.

Bilsteins all the way. Check out KYB Monomax too

What type of Bilstiens should i go with? i hear they ride better on the road than Ranchos

I was at 4 Wheel Parts they other day, and they had the Pro Comp MX6 there.
It's a 6 way adjustable shock with no reservoir. It's really easy to adjust and I was thinking of those for the future, anyone know anything about them? |

Im with him on these shocks. They are on my ranger and I love em. Really nice to tow with too even though i need new ones.

Hmm yeah they are pretty bouncy but at the same time thats not a bad thing.means the shock took the hit more than my truck. but i have gone through dips and felt like i was gonna bounce haha.
|
Will they give anymore lift to the truck?
|
They wont sag anymore.. so you could see an inch but its not lift it just height lost a saggy shock. I hear KYB's do a good job pushing the truck up. But i am not going to say it lifted the truck.

Not to dredge up an old thread but I ordered the Bilsteins today. I've had them on my 2000 Camaro for ages and they are a great shock. Not too sure if I like the idea of them being BOUNCY but they have to be better than what I have now...a blown drivers side stock shock. :)

you dont need no stinkin shocks.
