Lift for 2008 2wd xlt single cab

Iam intrested in lifting my 08 2wd xlt single cab about 6-8 inches on 35's or 37's, all the kits i seen are for 4x4 or other years. Iam looking for a 3" b/l and either a 5-6 inch s/l for my truck anyone know where i can find that?

That kit is for like pre runner stuff. Get the Fabtech 5.5" kit and then a 3" body lift and you can run 35's

I wouldn't say that that kit is for "prerunning" it is not long travel, but more of a performance lift.

Its more mid-level kit while the Fabtech is a entry-level kit.

Exactly, I guess it just depends on his budget and if he is going to wheel the truck hard.

iam going to get the p.a. b/l and i was thinking can i do a 3inch lift spring and a 3inch block plus the b/l that would be 6inch lift. Iam not going to be doing any serious off roading other then some dry flat trails with a small hole here and there. I use the truck for work mostly lots of dirt/sandy construction sites.

You can do that but that will only net you 6" lift total and you won't be able to fit 35's, only 33's!

If your not doing it for pre run don't get the fenders imo it looks stupid when your truck is not raked.

You also have a Edge with torsion bars, not coilsprings like the OP does. Your 2" higher stock.

Yeah that is what everyone is saying. 8" he will be fine but 6" he won't.

with the camburg 5.5 kit, its a Stout spindle, with 1.5" increased track width per side. upper control arm uses a uniball instead of a ball joint and they just put out a new spring.

for the rear you can use chevy leaf springs, not sure specifics on that but im sure someone will have the correct info about it for ya.

so 8 inches to fit 35's kool kool, iam most likely going with the fabtech kit cause i can get it for about 950.00 and i really dnt need anything to heavy duty, iam suprised to only see a few amount of kits out there thoe, when i was bagging my blazer they have millions of aftermarkt parts out there.

If it were me I wouldn't buy that kit. Those are Douchetech parts and I am not fond of them. The fabtech kit is only a few bucks more. To me, if I am spending a grand on a lift kit I would rather spend the extra cash and get the better kit.

And FYI, there are tons more parts for all makes in the lowered field than the lifted field. Especially for the 2WD's.

i would deffinately get new rims that push the tires out some(added width=more stable)
8" wide rim is perfect for 10.5-12.5" wide tires
