ON, Cda; 16" or 17" Steelies for '11 4x4

...for winter. We get alotta salt on the roads here, and I'd kinda like to keep the alloys in decent shape [by storing them for the winter]

5 x 114.3 (!!)

Not too wide

Colour irrelevant

I don't want alloys!

I don't want fancy, "busy" patterns

A little rust doesn't scare me, but I don't want to have to abrasive blast them before I can put on a coat of paint

Local would be good (S. Ontario Cda)

Well...I went with 225-60/17's on steelies with 5" backspacing from an Explorer Sport Trac. They're Dunlop Grandtrek's with about 60% remaining, but for the price, I'm happy. They'll certainly do the job for this winter...and if the grip is poor by winter's end I'll re-shoe them for next winter.

Since I don't have the truck yet, I'll have to wait to see how they look, but I can always stick a set of 10mm spacers on if I need to.

I made a mistake. The Sport Trac rims I ended up with are actually 6" backspacing...and of course they hit the underside of the truck at full lock.

So - not wanting to throw good money after bad (and buy hubcentric spacers) -- I am still (again?) looking for rims.

Ideally I would love to find mounted M+S tires on either 16" or 17" steelies, but at this point I would consider just rims (preferably 17's)
