Girl in need of advice on lift kit!
Alright this is what I got.
1998 FORD RANGER STEPSIDE XLT 4 WHEEL DRIVE EXTENDED CAB.
Right now it has 245/75 R16's on it
What is going to go on it next is a set of LT285/75 R16's
Now I just need to find out which is the best route for my lift to fit my tires. I was hoping to do 2" or preferably 3" and was interested in opinions on a body lift possibly? Keep in mind I know nothing about any of this **** so any and all help is appreciated! I'm looking for the best option for the LEAST AMOUNT OF MONEY. I'm talkin cheap! Please help!!

Body lift or super lift. Only ways to lift a 98 or newer 4wd.
Body lifts gonna run you $200 +install
Super lifts gonna run you $2,000 + install
You can crank your torsion bars for the price of an alignment and get ~ 1-2" (your ride quality is gonna suffer.).
Guys clear 285s with just a tbar crank, but you might have some rubbing on the valance/mudflaps.

Yeah body lift is the cheapest way to go, just got mine done 2 weeks ago (450$ BL + 350$ garage charged me to install) no regrets :) looks nice and drives the same.. i got that same size tire you want on yours, and i only got the tires to rub a bit in the back at max flex, no rubbing in front so far lol
