As some of you know I'm preparing for the next chapter in my trucks life and that is the Solid Axle Swap. But before I go forth with this swap, I want to see if there is interest in this setup(which im sure there is plenty). I will not seperate unless I have interest in both kits.

This is coming out of my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT so its your responsibility to see if it fits YOUR vehicle. The truck was a street queen and rarely if EVER saw any off road use. This kit is GREAT and It treated me REALLY well. Ill do what I can to answer any questions you may have so please ask.

What I have is the AUTHENTIC RCD coil over brackets minus the gussets with all mounting hardware.

Brackets:

Driver Side:
Upper 20-52498-9
Lower 20-52498-11
Spacers 20-833167

Passenger Side:
Upper 20-52498-9
Lower 20-52498-12
Spacers 20-833167

Coils:

-12" 850# hypercoils(I used 850# coils because of the added weight of the 5.0)

Shocks:

The 2.0x6.5 shocks from Fox:

Shock Travel: 6.50"
Extended Length: 19.35"
Collasped Length: 12.85"
Shaft size is: 5/8"
Fox Part #: 980-99-001A

The Fox shocks have the extended eyelet to clear the axles.

The RCD coil over conversion has eliminated the use of the Torsion bar brackets but I still have those if needed.

Superlift:
All mounting brackets and hardware included.
-Knuckles
-Crossmember drop brackets
-Differential drop brackets
-Brake line brackets
-Torsion bar brackets(if you need them)

I think thats it but it comes complete though if im missing anything.

ALSO:

-I have the 1 piece MOOG upper control arms, both sides(new ball joints, year old)
-I have the adjustable camber bolts/washers(both sides) from rock auto(dont know brand)
-I have 03+ PowerSlot slotted rotors(for the 98-02 guys, this will benefit you as these rotors are bigger and the knuckles are drilled so you can use either your existing front rotors or the bigger 03+rotors.)
-I have MOOG tie rod ends(year old)
-I have the lower control arms with MOOG ball joints(year old)

Also if anyone is interested Ill have the dana 35 if anyone wants it free with 4.10 gears, It leaks so if you can fix the leak then you got a great working axle.

I really Quickly put this together so if I missed anything please let me know.... Ill update as soon as I have more time.. heres some pics:

What differences would I need to check for to make sure it will fit my 01?

I've tossed the idea around of doing solid axle or coil over IFS for a while now. I'm leaning back towards coil over IFS for the ride quality and everyday driveability.

This will indeed fit an 01... I loved this ride. So much better than the torsion bar crap. My friends would always compliment me on how smooth the ride was in my lifted truck was.

Awesome. I don't see anything in your list about the rear setup though

MudSlanger 06-20-2012 11:45 AM

All I have in the rear is a long add a leaf and Chevy shackles.... Those unforanetly are not for sale.

01RangerEdge 06-20-2012 11:52 AM

Alright. It will be about 2-3 weeks before I know if I can get these or not.

Thanks for the info

MudSlanger 06-20-2012 11:56 AM

No problem. All of it is still on the truck. I'd need to buy all the SAS parts before I can tear this truck apart. You have plenty of time.

01RangerEdge 06-20-2012 05:55 PM

How much lift did you end up getting with this kit?

MudSlanger 06-20-2012 06:08 PM

Just over 4 inches.

PAShooter 06-21-2012 03:40 AM

Man do I want this but the 5.0 swap took my paycheck. GLWS

MudSlanger 06-21-2012 06:54 AM

shooterdude199 06-21-2012 10:12 AM

MudSlanger 06-21-2012 05:24 PM

shooterdude199 06-21-2012 08:44 PM

Argh! Why doesn't anyone in sc never do a sas on a ranger or an explorer and give their axles away for free?! Jealous

Look in the classifieds for seed60. He is selling his old front axle with 4.88' I believe and he is in NC.

shooterdude199 06-22-2012 06:13 PM

I have a question. Wasn't there an issue with the rotors on newer trucks?

It won't be an issue on this setup, but mid '03 they changed from an 11.28" rotor to a full 12".

If your installing the full RCD kit, you need to use the 11.28" size, but on this setup (basically the Superlift but w/ an RCD coil-over conversion) the knuckles are drilled so you can use either.

morris 06-25-2012 08:05 AM

Thanks

Thanks for this clarification.. Ive had zero issues with these brakes on this lift. Ive never heard of any issues before.

How is this going for ya? Still working on your SAS swap?

MudSlanger 07-07-2012 07:08 PM

Yes, as soon as I get a solid buyer for this kit then I can speed up this process lol
