Hi Guys,

Went out to Elsinore last weekend before I blew my tranny up and did a little mobbin with the new engine... I figured since I got that outerwear cover on my intake now I would go test it out and see how good it worked. It turned out pretty good and kept all the water out, but now my O/D light is blinking. GO FORD!

Anyway onto the pics and videos... we didn't take too many of them but I got a few. I found this puddle here and was trying to drift around the whole corner without sliding into the hill lol. It was really slippery and muddy and just finished raining...

It was a lot of fun. Tranny has been going out now for months. I took it to a tranny guy here in town and he told me about 4 months ago that my tranny was going bad and to keep driving it until it goes..

Well after this trip on my way home my O/D started flashing on me and it ****s all funky. :( I gotta cruise in 2nd gear only right now to get around town until I can save up enough money for a tranny now. The engine made me broke.

Why would you want to? The 5 speed tranny is such a POS.

Nice wheeling Rob. Maybe if my truck ever decides not to spit out slave cylinders or I get a different truck we can hit that up.

Well if the trans was better in the truck then I would have no problem driving stick in traffic. With my truck sometimes I have to jam it into gear or the engagement point of the tranny changes so I stall sometimes.

 

My first truck was a stick, I like my auto. Much easier and no dead clutch leg lol.

 

Got a $1297.00 quote for tranny rebuild.... I might go for it.

Is that mainly a high speed type of four wheeling spot, or are there some obstacles to crawl over?

I didn't watch the videos cause I'm rocking out at the moment.

 

thats a great price for the rebuild mine was over 2 grand and it did the same thing as yours od light flashed and shifted really bad

I guess you were hoping for more puddles though................8 vids of driving through the same puddle....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

 

I was trying to drift and hold it but it was way slippery...

Plus I just blew my engine in water puddles and I don't really like them.. so I didn't want to push my luck.
