15X8 Wheels

Okay guys so heres the deal i went to try and get the other rims that i like put on my truck and they only came in a 15x8 width. The guys at Les Schwab said that they could put them on but they weren't sure that i would like the road debris from the tire.

Has any one here had this issue or is that okay that they stick out from the fender wells?

(Marie maybe you have some input on this)

Nah man you'll have no problems. I got 16X8's on my truck and with the fender flares on my truck I really have to work on trying to get crap flung on the side of the truck. I see people run 15X8 on Rangers all the time. The only wheel that I could see problems coming up would be from a 15X10. They are significantly wider than stock rims and would stick out the fender well at least by two inches.

I dont have fender flares and they are saying that is what i need to get put on the truck so it wont cause problems. I just think they want more money. Maybe i should just be happy with what i have on there,

It's also going to depend on what tires you have on them. My 11.5 wide BFGs make a mess of the sides of my truck, but then again, it's a truck, it's supposed to get dirty.

I have 30x9.5 15 on the truck now. I don't think it will make that much of a difference.

Yeah that's a pretty narrow tire man. I'd say go for it, but it's your truck and your final decision. If ya do decide to go with the wheels, show us some pics!

I called the guy that i was speakign with at Les Schwab and he stated that he really doesnt want to put the rims on my truck he would like to stick with a 15x7 because he has seen to many problems by going to a 15x8 so he told me that he would do some reaserch and see what he could find, He found some wheels by KMC called Enduro:

Is what they look like.

GOing to take till may for them to get here im hoping they look better than what i have already they have to be special ordered.

He is either scared that you won't like the larger wheel or they have some big gay policy about aftermarket different wheel sizes. Go somewhere else.

the majority of people with aftermarket rims/tires on this site are running 15x8 or larger... my truck came from the factory with 15x8's the guy is an asshat, if this is how he does business, you do not want to buy from him, he obviously doesn't know much about the vehicles he is working on, and he's not listening to what YOU want, being that you are paying for it out of YOUR pocket, and he is not paying for it... if you listen to him, and get the rims he tells you to, guarantee that 6 months down the road, you are going to be unhappy with your purchase

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Id have to agree with the rest here. sounds like he is trying to set you up for a more expensive rim/tire package or something.
I had 15x8 rims on my truck for almost 4 yrs and never had a problem other than the sides of my truck getting dirty.
actually, Ive honestly had more problems with balancing and alignment since I changed to 15x7 rims.
