3 inch lift, 33's and rims

Hey guys, just got a 1999 ford ranger and not real sure about how to proceed about getting bigger tires, the size I need for them, and what size rims I should get. I do know I want a 3 inch body lift to make room for possibly 33 inch tires. Anybody's input would be greatly appreciated on the size of tires and size rims I need to get.

Think on 15" rims.
There is abetted line of tires in 15" rim size and 16" mud tires are LTs and they usually have a higher load rating.

15" rims will have a bigger and cheaper tire selection
