17" Explorer rims on a 2002 Edge
I recently purchased a set of Explorer 17" x 7.5" wheels and tires from a new Explorer. The tires are BFG 245/65 r17 Rugged Trail TA's 105 H. I contacted BFG and their customer support said to run 29psi in the front and 34psi in the rears. The ride is crappy at this setting. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the psi should be?????

you want to run the psi that your owners manual says, no matter what size tires
unless i learned that wrong and i know what rims you are talking about, how did you get them to fit right on the edge? or did you not run the center cap? |
30/30 split for front and back. That was i ran my 31x10.5R15 bfg all-terrain ko's at on my old ranger. They ride smoother and handled well. Just a thought.

I used 1" spacers on the front wheels. The backs were fine without the spacers...

I'd run 32/30, being the motor is in the front. Look under your fuel door and try those. |

Whats the back spacing and offset on those? I wonder if they would be good with some nice sized A/T's......
|
Scott I miss your truck. I liked it so much when it was lowered. Nice and clean. But the sport trac is better for kids and stuff.

Yes they are 5 x 4.5"

The new explorer wheels are 8 spoke highly polished spokes. I'll get a couple of pictures so you can see them..
