2011 wrangler rims on 98 Ranger ?

I currently have a 98 with jeep rims 31.5 tires. They are 4.5 x5 on 2" adapters. I got a really good deal on some rims from a 2011 wrangler 5x5. The rim says off set is 4.45 I'm thinking positive. Will 2" adapters work or will I need 3". I've had good luck with adapters so i'm not scared of them (must use lock tight lol). I am not a math guy and guessed the 2" on the last ones. I really want these on here as the 31.5's are bald and now a belt is going. Please help.

If the bolt pattern is 5x5, they won't work unless your current adapters are drilled for both 5x4.5 and 5x5. Otherwise, you'll need new ones that are double drilled. As far as spacing goes, a 3" spacer sounds pretty sketchy, but you do you.

Got ya on the adapters. I had planned on new ones. I'm just concerned whether or not 2" will work or if it will need 3" because of the back spacing. It is a positive 4.45. I don't know how to figure the back spacing. I honestly have no clue

Here's a guide on backspacing. It's not to be confused with offset, although you can calculate one as long as you know the other value and the width of the wheel.

IIRC, stock Ranger wheels have either 4 or 4.5" backspacing, so fitment shouldn't be a problem for you as long as your bolt pattern problem is taken care of.
