235/70R15 on 93 ranger
My truck has 225s on the rear and i wanna upgrade all 4 to 235s when i get some 15x7 wheels. I was wondering if i would get clearance issues on a 1993 2wd stock truck. Stock wheels are 14x6 and 225 tire. I would get wheels with a slight bit of negative offset to help reduce the lower clearances on the inside of the wheel near the suspension.
I looked at the sticky but it wasnt saying anything about 93-97 model years. Also, goodyear lists this size for this truck under "alternate sizes", so i just wanted to double check the validity |
2WD?
225/70R14 is 26.5" diameter, 8.9" width 235/70R15 is 28" diameter, 9.3" width You will be fine, 4WD that year ran up to 30" stock, they did have 1.5" lift over 2WD model |
225/70r14 is in there now. I guess i need 235/60r15. I used a gear ratio calculator to find the best aspect ratio. 3.55:1 ratio becomes 3.59:1 ratio. I assume this wont throw off my mph by much

Yes, you wouldn't notice a difference, speedometer accuracy is +/- 5% in any case
