Spare tire fit

I just bought a 2000 XLT 4x4, with the spare sitting in the bed. I tried mounting it under, but it didn't fit with the pipes there.

The spare is a 235/75/15, which I measured to have a 14 inch radius. The space under the bed for it to mount varies between 13 and 14 inches. The spare is labeled for temp use, so I would assume it's the stock one

There are 2 exhaust pipes: steel, rusty, ugly. I assume that they are stock as well.

Do I have aftermarket pipes, the wrong size tires, or did I just give up too easily?

Here's a pic:

Here's another link, if the first is broken: Flickr

I'd say you have aftermarket pipes

Yep. Definitely custom exhaust. Never seen a stock Ranger with duals.

Damn. I was hoping that I'd just need to kick it hard, or something else that doesn't cost (or waste bed space.) Thanks, all.

those pipes are custom and were made on a huth type bendint machine.

whoever bent them is not very good because you can get them to fit with the spart tire in there.

the exhaust shop by me made mine and there rippled? i can prove it, i have a camera!

Do you think a muffler shop could re-bend them to allow them, or would a few years in the field make the pipes brittle? I notice a fair bit of rust where they connect to the muffler.
