i had the orginal version of the STT, great tire. only three complaints, i think it was the loudest mud tire i have ever heard with out buying a Intico[sp?] tire. the compound i know atleast on the older one's where really hard so they lasted a very good while BUT most mudders you want to be soft, and they couldnt balance worth crap...

other then that i would definally get them agian they always got me threw. and i got mine at discount tire...

well the current one is just a re-cut version of the old, kinda reworked. PM christian i know he has them.

mine lasted about oh dear um 45000 easy and probly still had about 3000 left when i replaced them

btw there isnt any Cooper SST its a Cooper STT that is the "mudder" now there is a cooper S/T which is what the "cooper man" John Griggs loves. there a hibrid mudder A/T thing really nice i have drove 1 truck with them i would have gone with them but the BFG's where cheaper lol...

Yeah, my local shop said that i would hate the STT cause they are hard to keep balanced, I don't know if that was the old one or the new one.

i want a free butt massage on the highway. i have no idea if that is safe or not, but it could be interesting. there is a place near me (united auto) they "spealize" in cooper tires, cause thats all they sell. the tires look really sweet.

if you are using the truck off road all the time then you will have no problem with them Shane. but for the road i have heard nothing about complaints about how loud they are and how much they rumble you on the roads. but i have heard they are great for just offroading

I like the STT's and so did Petersens 4 Wheel and Offroad magazine. They are on my short list of "next tires".

I cant say much for how they are on the road, but the gas company I work for uses them on almost all of our trucks and they always preform great. We drive through pretty much anything and the only time Ive seen a truck with the STT's get stuck is in holes that would bury a backhoe.

just a side note, its the best summer job ever....I get paid to go wheelin in a brand new F350, and if i get stuck the bulldozer will always be there to pull me out

My local Cooper dealer was actually cheaper for me, including mounting. If you find the right dealer, they might work with you to lower the price. The margin is a little more on the high priced tires and they might knock some money off and order them if you leave a nice deposit.
