33 10.5 or 12.5 ??

I've done a lot of research but am still unsure. I'm leaning towards the newer 33x10.50x15 mud terrains and have seen few pics but hate how skinny they look. They just look like 31s but worse. I mostly street and dirt and occasional sand and mud but always get stuck in both. (usually have 0 weight in bed tho and aired up tires) Seeing as how I have a 2.3l and 4.56 gears with 32x11.5 now would it be better or the same getting the 33x10.5? I would like 33x12.5 but don't want to sacrifice much more power. I know they will fit cuz they were on truck before but bald and 3.73s. Anyone with the 10.5s care to tell me how they do? especially with a 4 cyl.
DD, need the power, see no snow, little mud and only go though it fast, no crawling, like sand but hate getting stuck.
Where can i find weight of 32x11.5 bfg m/t km(first style)? 33x10.5? and 33x12.5 (newer style KM)

personally i would go with 32x11.5 b/c they look better than 33x10.5.. they look too skinny. the 32's look right height compared to width. imo of course. personally 33x12.5 are the best out of the 3 but it'll prolly do the best with 32's

thanks. I was looking to get the extra ground clearance and fill in front fender better but maybe 32s are just ideal. anyone know weight of 32x11.5 vs 33x10.5?

there prolly not much difference. your adding barely an inch of tread. and losing a half inch of width.

wouldn't it be a full inch of width as well? 11.5-10.5=1 :)

BFG's site don't say. main question to anyone is what is weight difference of 2 above tires?

haha thanks. how convincing. I'm thinkin I might as well just do it. my acceleration already sucks but it's totally driveable. Won't really do me any good power wise between 32 and 33 anyways. I'm goin 33s. Still ponderin 10.5 or 12.5 just depends what I find. I already have a 12.5 i picked up as a spare so that's prolly what ill get unless i find killer deal. Anyone who knows the weights tho lemme know I'm curious

the tire widths and heights aren't usually exact. most of the time i've seen 33x12.5-15 actually be like 32.5x11.8-15.

i dunno what i was thinking. brain fart i guess. lol. you can't go wrong w/ 33 12.5's. if you do 33 tall you have to get 12.5 wide. 10.5 looks goofy

yeah bfgs are smaller than what they read by quite a bit. Wel ig to 2 33x10.5s and don't regret it one bit. I'd probably like the 12.52 a lil better but with the weight I'm saving and everything I am very happy with them. They replaced my 31x10.5s up front and it feels the same, only taller, cuz it is. but looks sooo much better. Getting anopther 2 in 2 weeks, will have pics with all 4 up soon. They really don't look that goofy at all.

I can't help but laugh at this. Who gives a royal **** how they look ... how do they work?!

I say this as a guy who just put a fresh set of 33x10.5R15 BFG A/Ts on his truck. I had a set of 31x10.5R15's from the factory on my LII and loved the crap out of them. I was going to go for 33x9.5R15's.. but got talked out of it by my mechanic/uncle at the 11th hour. His argument was that I'd miss the extra contact patch at speed on the road.

My truck is 100% stock and the 33x10.5's fit perfectly. 33x12.5's will require modifications.

BFG is pretty good at publishing detailed specs on their tires. The 33x10.5R15 size is 32.7" diameter and 10.6" section mounted on an 8.5" wide wheel.

yeah, not sure how they actually perform since they're only up front. so far so good. Can't wait to throw them on the rears. my old 32s are tearin apart. the belt poked through on one so I got my spare on and the other is gettin cracks at beginning of some lugs. Pics in my album of front and my flex.

honestly, Bubba is dead on. 10.5 would be a better choice performance wise all around. 10.5 is still a wide tire. You also get more power to the ground with the 10.5.
