265's vs 285's aka 31's vs 32's

I found a set of A/T's that I like and are the right price and they are 265/75's and I found a set of M/T's that I kindof like and are the right price and they are 285/75's. They will be going under a 3inch body lift will the 265's look alright or should I go with the bigger tire? Also These will be going on stock 16" 5-spokes, Will the 285's fit on the rims alright?

get 305x70x16... its a 32.8x12.2x16 closest you will get to a 33x12.5

265 and 285 look to small on just body lift IMO

Go with 285. Like the others said, 265 will be too small for a lifted truck.

Zack how can you say a 285x75x16 looks small when it is the same height as a 305x70x16, the only difference is in the width.

285s will look good and still cut through snow and water well. which keeps the road manners close to stock. when you start going wide it will pull and drive worse on cruddy road conditions.

I mean personally me my favorite look for a body lifted truck is def. 285s...keeps a slim look which makes it look even taller IMO...either way it will look good!

Heres 05rangersXLT body lift and 32s, it didn't look too bad to me, but it looked so much better when we put his 33s on.

But remember...in reality if the size is accurate a 265/75-16 is a 31.6 x 10.4 x 16 (very close to a 32 and a 285/75-16 is a 32.8 x 11.2 x 16. So pretty much a 285 is a 33 in height and its 11.5 in width..which gives you that tall skinny look

i think the 32x11.5s on the one truck with the body lift look really good. But, since you are dealing with 16" rims, a 265 wouldnt look right. looks good on a stock height truck. I would go with the 285. tall, still rather skinny so less wind resistance as opposed to a 305 .
