Im looking into getting 33s but i only have a 7.5 rear. I read somewhere that 33s are about the max that should be put on that axle. I just wanted to know if anyone is running that combo or ran that combo and their experience with it.

ya thats about the most i would run on that axle. esp if ur gunna be doing any type of "good" wheelin... if i were i'd go to a junkyard and pull a expo axle or 8.8 from a different ranger and u'll get better gears to

 

it pretty much depends on what gear set ya got, but yeah no bigger than 33's. And try to get a 8.8 just to upgrade to a stronger axle

 

Good chance I'll have an 8.8 from my wife's wreck soon. 4.10 gears, open. I'll also be coming to York for the Jeep show the 3rd week in July. Might be able to haul it down if you are interested. PM me and we can work something out.

You would have extra shafts, as the 7.5s are the same as the Ranger 8.8s. Only ask that I get the 7.5 to make "other" things worthy of that turd.....

 

Thanks for the offer but im not ready to do everything to my truck just yet. Im just trying to plan ahead. I will be at the jeep show this July though so maybe ill cya there
