Spare tire fit

Spare tire fit
I just bought a 2000 XLT 4x4, with the spare sitting in the bed. I tried mounting it under, but it didn't fit with the pipes there.
The spare is a 235/75/15, which I measured to have a 14 inch radius. The space under the bed for it to mount varies between 13 and 14 inches. The spare is labeled for temp use, so I would assume it's the stock one
There are 2 exhaust pipes: steel, rusty, ugly. I assume that they are stock as well.
Do I have aftermarket pipes, the wrong size tires, or did I just give up too easily?
Here's a pic:
Here's another link, if the first is broken: Flickr

the thunderbolt was the only ranger to some with stock duals
rippled pipes are made in factorys, not exhaust shops
those pipes are custom and were made on a huth type bending machine.
whoever bent them is not very good because you can get them to fit with the spart tire in there.
