35x12.5 on 17x8 rims.

Pro comp caries all sorts of back spacing or offsets in a 17" wheel both steel and aluminum.

Well I have been looking around on the web, found these that I am interested in. Now my question is will they bolt up and will they stick out some? Please bare with me, I'm a noob when it comes to offest's on rims.

Yay or nay lol
For comparison sake, I looked up the info and specs of your current Ion 133's. 16x8 w/ 4.25" backspace.

The wheels you linked us are 17x9 w/ 4.75" backspace. These will stick out 1/2" more than your current wheels. I vote yes since you're after not too sucked in, yet not to pushed out either to protect your paint.

Without going too into detail and possibly confusing you, but still might confuse (lol)...

Backspace is a measurement of the space between the back of the wheel and where the wheel mounts to the brake. Bigger the number, the more sucked in it is. Smaller number, more sticking out. Your Ion's are 4.25...the ProComp's are 4.75. At this point, they are 1/2" more sucked in than your Ion's. BUT...they've got a 1" wider overall width. Mix this all together, you're net difference is 1/2" more sticking out than your existing. In other words, it'll look very very similar to your existing setup. Probably better looking.

Sweet thanks man! So what do you say about the rims. Do it? And if im not happy with how far they stick out, I could always get a set of spacers since I'm not a hard core wheeler.

Thanks again

My personal opinon on those ProComp's?? I highly dislike them. I don't know what it is about them, but I suppose it's because I see so many rigs every day locally with very very similar wheels. That and all flat black would look odd on your truck in my eyes. Could be because they look so darn flat....like a car wheel. I like having some "dish".

I'm kind of a black and shiny fanboy. I have Eagle 185's on mine (8 holes, flat black w/ machined lip). I like your current wheel's style on your truck too. A wheel I've yet to see on a Ranger and I'd love to is Ultra 195 Crushers. They're offered in 17x9 with a 4.5" backspace. Which means outside of tire will be 3/4" more than your existing wheels. PERFECT fit and look IMO. Rule of thumb in lifting is go up, go wide. This'll do it.

The only thing I can think is that the rear's aren't clearing in the new ones. 15's cleared on mine with the stock axles. They have the same caliper/rotor part numbers.
