35's with 4.10 gearing
 

Can I run 35's with the stock 4.10 gears are do I need to go with 4.56

you will be ok with 4.10's (just alot slower acceleration) but i think a 4.56 or 4.88 would bring it back to stock ratio and give you great low end

were a good place to find 4.56 gearing

Ask Rangererv about 4.10s and 35s against 33s and 4.10s lol.

If you have a manual trans than I would not worry about it. Automatic you can live with it but 4.56 would help alot.

upgrade if u have an auto.

4.56 would prob be the best option from what i hear

actually with an auto the torque multiplication of the torque converter helps on start up but it will put a larger drag on the trans and heat the fluid up quicker. with a manual pulling out will be ok but u wont have as easy as a time w/ an auto. but with a manual u dont have to worry about over heating the fluid, just slipping the clutch and ruining it.

either way, if ur gunna use it for a DD, swap.

If you have 4.0 then it will work but like said it will be a little slow. I have 3.73 with 33's TSL's so they are all of 33 if not more. If you have a 3.0 then definetly swap. I am going to deal with my 3.73's until I can get some more cash. The only time I wish I had better gears is on the highway going up a hill it dogs it. If you have a lot of hills around it may be better to regear where I live it is mostly flat. By the way I have an automatic tranny.

I have a 3.0 with a manual and i ran 35's for about 7 months with my 4.10 gears. I had NO problems at all except 5th gear was pulling a real low rpm so i kept it in 4th most of the time. I had descent acceleration and never had any problems.

I am running 35's and 4.10's (couple months now) with NO programmer yet, and its not bothering me so far.....If you go 35's keep the 4.10's and see what you think after about a month or so of driving.

upgrade if you have a stick too.

I have a stick and there just is not anough low end torque. My clutch died at 37,000 miles. I have had the 35's on for about 12k of that.

I used a gear ratio calculator and it siad my perfect ratio was something like 4.68. Well of course there is no such gear set as 4.68 so between 4.56 and 4.88 I went with 4.88 because i tow the camper so often i wanted the extra low end to get it moving on hills and stuff.

actually you might be suprised that they arnt quite 33s. even brand new, they dont measure up to 33 inchs. then add the rim, put them on the truck, and your probly around 32 1/4 to 32 1/2 inches
