You will not believe this!!!

So, I call up my tire shop and order the General Grabbler AT2s in a 33x12.5x15. They call the distrubutor to order them and they tell the tire shop that there was a problem with production and they didnt know when they will be shipping anymore out.

So, it looks like im back to the BFG All-terrains, however its going to cost me about 200 bucks more. I was getting a killer deal on the Grabbers...out the door for $445.62. With the BFGs Im looking at $647.

I have the Grabber AT2's and they outperform my old BFG's in every category. The BFG's are over hyped and over priced.

word!!!

and they're french! i'd be afraid that they would chicken out on when going got tough!!!

if i was going to dump out 647 for tires i'd just go ahead and kick the few extra dollars and get some super aggressive A/T's like the Cooper STT's.

Yeah i paid 665 mounted/balanced/installed for my 275/70R16s... and the 16" rims make them atleast $25/tire more expensive vs 15s... keep looking around. I know for a fact that you can get 32x11.5R15 BFG ATs for $85/tire installed.. so a few bucks more for a 33x12.5

oh and im still waiting for a socal member to buy a set of these AT2s so i can take a good comparison test...

they claim it's a mudder, but the staggering on the shoulders and the tread voids say otherwise...don't get me wrong, they are good tires and all and i'm not bagging them...i just think Cooper is pushing the whole extreme mudder thing with those tires a bit far...

i'll put my MTZ's up against them and come out on top with flying colors...and when you put my MTZ's up against other "true" mudders i will fall short in some places...

after seeing them and riding in a couple of trucks with 33's on one and 35's on the other and i personally felt that they were more of an aggressive all-terrain. they have excellent road manners, light tread, on-highway siping, true tracking tread designs, and so on...basically all of the features of an all-terrain...

back on topic, like everyone is saying though man, just keep looking man!

Do you have posi? Because that will make a big difference (I know you have a 4x4, it still makes a difference). I had them on my blazer and before I installed a posi unit in the rear, they weren't that great either. Aside from that, if you look at a true snow tire they don't have huge grooves in them, they have lots of sipes like my michelins. Its an ALL TERRAIN tire, that means its supposed to be "GOOD" in all conditions. Kind of like a jack of all trades master of none.
