92 Ranger with 17's?

Hey guys,
Let me start out by saying, What a community! I really appreciate all of the insight and passion that has gone into this network.

I have recently(last 9 months) started working on a 1992 Ranger I purchased 4 years ago from a friend that let it sit for a few years. This vehicle will be for my son who will turn 16 in 4 months. Mechanically, I've personally been through, repaired, changed, and sealed everything except cracking open the motor. I'm currently working on painting it and will need some new shoes soon. I do not like the OEM 14's and want to get something larger. I have read through several forums about wheels, tires, offset, spacers, etc. and just feel overwhelmed and uneducated for this particular year. I am interested in a set of 2011 Mustang V6 17x7 wheels. The ranger is a 2wd supercab. What fitment issues should I expect and what would be recommended to remedy it? Any guidance would be appreciated. T.i.a.
