backspacing

i am gonna get 20 boss rims from a guy of craigslist sunday. he just told me that the backspacing is 5 inches. i have to run an adapter that is 1.5 inches wide. will this be a problem. i hope not. what will happen? is it bad for my front end? thanks in advance.

It'll work out....but some here are purely against running spacers of any kind. I'm down with running spacers.

5" is WAY too much but 1.5" spacers will make them work....

I personally don't like spacers because they move the tires farther out adding extra un-needed stress on the suspension.....i can almost guarantee you that your ball joints and wheel bearings will wear out faster because of the extra force hanging off the end of them...
