Baja Claw or MTZ ?????

Ok im getting new 33x12.50x15 tires and im stuck between the Mickey Thompson Baja Claws and the MTZ's. Any opinions on either one? Which ones are louder and which ones wear better for about 80% on road use and 20% off road use? and if you have any pictures please post.

I have had mtzs now for about a year. imo they're not to loud going down the road and they ride pretty smooth for a 35" mud tire.

ive had my baja claws for over 6 months now and ive put about 15k miles on them and not one bit of tread loss im just now losing the nipples on the top sides of the tread just keep them rotated every 3k miles and they are loud as can be i love them their very agressive in mud and sand and keep digging with more throttle

i use my tires about 70% on road and 30% off road

hope this is a ok picture for you ill try to get a better one were you can see the tread =)

Haha. You're buying them for sound properties? I'd figure you'd buy on on and off-road performance.

Kidding. But I've always liked the looks of the Baja Claw over the MTZ but as far as traction I think the Claw would be better.

I'd wait a little longer to get them. Many users on here have MTZ's and a few have Claws. They'll chime in soon I bet.

HAHA thats not the main reason i want them....from other threads i read everyone is saying they are pretty even when it comes to treadwear and performance. im leaning towards the claws ...they just look awesome

I say MTZ for two reasons.

1. The claw is a directional tread pattern, so you can't properly rotate them without dismounting and remounting them. The MTZ is not directional.

2. The MTZ is siped and the claw is not, which makes the MTZ a much better performer in the rain.
