Wheel advice needed

Hey guys,

I want to make my 2011 Ranger sport 4x2 a little more "sportier". I picked up some Mustang GT 500 wheels on E-bay. Rims are 18' x 9.5" wide and came with the stock Good Year rubber. I put them on with 1" non hub centric adapters (the ones with the lugs nuts). The ride was terrible. Shaking at various speeds. took it to a tire shop and they checked all four, front were out of balance and they said 3 out of 4 are out of round. They also said that with non hub centric spacers vibrations will occur.

I put on my stock wheels & tires on the 1" adapters to try it our and the ride was almost like stock.

What do you guys think I should do? I know I need the proper sized tires for the truck to make the ride better. I would go with 255/60 18s.

Is this a good route to go? I am not sure if I want to have a wheel on my truck that needs a 1" adapter to make it work but I did not see any other wheels that I like.

Suggestions, ideas, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob.
