Black Steelies

Hey just picked up my truck and wanted to throw some Black Steels on. Like RockCrawlers or those Ds or whatever you call em. I have 245/75/16s on and I know its not a big tire but they are brand new so I want to keep em for a while. Any good sites to buy these type of rims from? Also what size should I get in the 16s for the rims? I saw that most have 15s on the forums but need 16 so... :)

Thanks

most go with 15s cause the tire is much cheaper for some reason...go with a 15x8 with 4.5 or less back spacing...check summitracing.com or 4wheelparts.com or ebay might have some good deals as well...

The 16" wheel weighs like 10lbs/wheel more than the 15"s

get 15"s

Anybody got pics of black steels on a dark shadow grey (or whatever the **** color that is) truck?

I will in about a week or so. 15s on 35 inch MTZs.

he has brand new tires why in the hell would he buy a 15" rim? Get a 16x8" rim, they will work well for your tires.

I got my 16" steelies from a store on ebay. I actually called them instead of bidding and they cut me a deal. I can't remember which one but just look around on ebay. Mine have the simulated bead lock though

check out www.4wheelparts.com and www.summitracing.com

I would like the 15s but yea I have brand new BF Goodies that came with the truck so 16 would be the best. I will check on the 16x8 thanks for the help. :)

I found my 15x10 steelies on eBay as well, and it was dirty cheap...actually, the 5 + tires were probably lb/lb chepaer than dirt.

Anyways, they are durable as ****. This past weekend, I somehow managed to bent the hell out of the rim, enough to completely deflate my tire within 3 minutes and skip the bead. Went hoke, got a block of wood and a BFH and bent it back. It's still noticable as the spare, but you can bang em back into place. They ARE quite heavy though, as opposed to your pretty street-driven aluminum alloy composite wheels.

Has anyone gone from a 16" to a 15" here? I was thinking of doing that myself but worried about rotor clearance.
