center caps wont fit

i have a 94 ford ranger splash 2wd with 1999 mustang gt wheels. i have 1/2" spacers with shank style lugs and the caps still dont fit. i've tried 1" wheel adapters the caps will fit but i dont trust them . too many people say the adapters are known for the wheel breaking off. anyone have any tips on how to get them to fit or any mustang wheels that will?

do you have any spacers or special studs to clear the hub?

you have to use adapters or press out your studs and put longer studs and a wider spacers yepper also bang down the dust cap sometimes that gives you enough room its what i had to do with alcoa caps
