i was reading online that some wheels require special lug nuts like American racing wheels require "acorn type" the wheels i got do they require any special kind or can i just use my stock ones. i was thinking of picking up a pair of lockers.

Thanks Dave

Every place I have search for online for those wheels come with new lug nuts. So my guess would be yes and you didn't do enough shopping around.

the locking ones are stupid. if someone wanted your wheels that bad they'd bring a wrench and a hammer and take the locking nut right off lol

x2^ if your rims were that nice, its easier to make a phone call to the towrig and since you rwd the front wheels will never be locked it'd be even simpler then a honda to jack

edit: atleast they were free

its just added security for myself. my damn alarm is so sensitive it will go off if the vehicle is jacked up. some sort of level sensor. and the remote will go nuts and notify me.

I ran into a problem where the front lugs cracked when tightened and the rears didn’t, go figure.

Not sure why, got my money back but still funny so watch the length of the lugs and order Nuts accordingly.

^^ poor truck..

well the only thing i know about lugnuts are there's ones that are kinda like hub-centric, where they take some load from the rim, then there's ones that just hold the rim to the rotar, and the hub of the wheel takes the weight. then there's the special mercedes and bmw things...whole other game tho

i hate the german style its a pain holding up a heavy tire and wheel trying to align a bolt lug.

^^ me too!!

when i was younger i totally messed up a hub from impacting a stupid lugnut too deep.

the guy brought in his winter tires, so i took off the summers and used his summer lugs on the winter tires. Didnt know the rims were different thicknesses...so when the lug wasn't going all the way, i figured i needed more power. Ooops.. oh well, another mechanic heated it up and fixed it...kinda. Learned my lesson quick

Almost all High Performance Auto Stores have bins of them.
All you need is three things, the Vehicle Info, the Thread Size for your vehicle and the Length of the Stud beyond the rim.
