compared 31' or 30's

So I definitely want to put mud terrains on my truck and I have some question/comparing to do. The reason I want M/T's is because I love how they look. I probably wont use them off road except for a hand full of time, the purpose of my truck is that its my daily driver to LA.

First: Does anyone have good pics of 31's on 15 rims compared to 31's on 16's?

Second:Should I go with 31's or do 30" tires? (based on performance, but is there a big noticeable size difference in that one inch?)

Third: Is there a better brand of M/T's than BFG? (lasting longer) I like that tire but im just gathering info.

Fourth: how long have your M/T lasted on the road?

Thanks for the help,
Mitchell

1. a 15 inch rim is always going to be cheaper.

2. I would go with a 30 little less money and will fit good and not rob to much gas mileage

3. there are tons of brands out there bgfs are really expensive.

4. it all depends some last more than others a M/T tire is a softer compound so there going to wear faster than an A/T.

If i was you i would look at General Grabber AT2 there a pretty aggressive A/T and they will last alot longer than an M/T there a better investment in the long run IMO.

well comparing the 15 and 16 I just want to get a look at them to see which one I want, I dont rerally mind the cost. Im going to buy what I like so I dont have any regrets haha)

I think I just fell in love with that General Grabber AT2, You might have just made my decision on brand then. now I just need to work out sizes

The Grabbers aren't close to a aggressive AT, they are a average AT tire. For tire life you'll want a more harder compound tire. Whats your price range?

camburg is a long ways down the road...so maybe the sky isnt the limit. I start my new job int he next week or two, so the mods will start to happen finally. I cant decide if I should do tires or lift first, or maybe do it all at once haha.

I think I like 15" rims better, More rubber... unless i find some sick black 16" rims

they look agressive from the ones i have seen on a jeep here at college. if i DD my truck i would have a set of them. I have heard nothing bad about them. people say they are a cheaper version of the BFG A/T. I would say get grabbers in 30s on 15 inch wheels

thanks guys, I think I will be rolling 30's on 15's.

Does anyone know of a M/T tire with the hard/stiffness of an A/T tire?

Going along with Paul for Discoverer STT's FTMFW.

He has 16s, I have 31s on 15s. Absolutely love these tires. They are great on the highway, really good in the snow and absolutely insane offroad. BTW, my truck originally had 16s with 245/75/16 tires and I went down to a 15" wheel. I paid $1197 CDN installed for my Coopers.

Cooper FTMFW! There's a few other guys on here running them too.

I've had mine on since November. Been very happy with them. If the STT's are too expensive, you can always get the ST or STC's.
