Just make sure u DONT settle

I am not really trying to cheat myself, just looking for a tire that not everyone has. My biggest issue is the load rating and the width, I am probably not going to get the grapplers because they are so wide and heavy.

Also my new wheels are only 8" wide so anything wider than a 12.5 is too much IMO on a ranger. I might get the 10" wide instead but not sure yet.

So you thought they looked cheap compared to your BFGs? The new BFGs look like quality tires.

It has to do with the PLY of the tire, how heavy the sidewall is etc... this can effect ride and also is a big effect on weight of the tire.

i geuss every one has there opinions but to me they look remarkable similar to the Mickey Thompson MTZ. I think the only difference is the STT has more tread on the side walls which is great for deep mud. another thing i like about them is that every other shoulder block is dished in to give more sipping.

I know there is a few guys on here and orr that have them and love them. Blades24, icb12, and a couple others that I can't think of. It's between the STT's and MTZ's for my next tire.

Edit: LivinFastForward is another. All of them are members here as well.

i would change it if i could but i just dont want to spend 50 bucks to have them flipped around.

i dont mind white lettering but i cant clean it will aluminum wheels very well. Bleach white scars aluminum.

get them. My next set will either be STT or MTZ which are basically the same tire. But I love them and they look better in person than on the computer.

I'm with ya, you don't want to mess up the wheels. (side note, bleach white is the only way to go with white letters). I still say go with the coopers...

I think the two are basically the same tire. I know John said one time that they are made in the same plant.

i had them and they wore horribly.

i'm consistent about having my tires rotated every 3-5k and balanced every 5k. i had a lifetime alignment/balancing etc on my ranger, so i always had the tires in tip top shape and the stt's didn't wear 1/3rd as well as my bfg mud terrains.
