So you thought they looked cheap compared to your BFGs? The new BFGs look like quality tires.
Not only compared to the bfgs but to most MTs goodyears, mickey thomson, toyos.. i know u want something that is not so common but there has to be a reason y some tiress are more popular than others

The procomp M/T extremes are very good tires for mud. A set of 33 12.5 procomps went through a mud hole WAY easier than 34 10.5 Super swamper ltbs. The procomps were on a jeep cheerokee with a 4.0 and the swampers on a fullsize jimmy with a BUILT 350, go figure!

If you get a chance while on ORR, search for a thread titled A/T Tire Review.

A friend of mine just bought an 04 F150 with STTs on it an 2 of the 4 of them had more weights on the rim than I'd ever seen before, I'm thinking 4 of the huge ones....almost a 1/4 of the way around the diameter. That says to me bad quality control.

Another friend has ATRs and that is not the case at all...different tire, different manufacturing line?

ATRs?

some of that would have to do with the tire installer as well.

Zach, I just got my MT Baja MTZ's put on, and they look awesome. I don't have any performance/wear comparisons yet, but they look cool : ) They are a bit a louder than the BFG AT's I had, but that is to be expected, they are MT's. Anyways, I will have pictures up tomorrow, check them out.

I say get them!
I have 33x12.50's on the Sport Trac, and they were on my ranger for over a year previously. Probably 15-20k miles on them and show little sign of wear. I drive agressive. They are wearing a little faster on the sport trac now with the aussie locker. They are quite, smooth, and work well in mud, sand, snow, wet pavement. By far the best tire I've owned so far, judging on 2 other mud terrains and a few different all terrains.

Ooh I need to change my avatar here too...
