Icon10 2003 Ranger Edge 2x4 Largest Tires?

Ok Ok, I know. This has probably been discussed, argued, bitched, moaned and talked about a thousand times here. Well, I'm going to make it a thousand and one. 'Newbie' moniker be damned, I need some help. I have a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge Stepside 2x4, 3.0L Vulcan engine, and it HAS the torsion bars. I'm wondering, as you can guess....what is the largest/widest tire I can fit under there without doing anything but adjusting the torsion bars? I am currently running on 235/75 R15's. Normally, I don't do a lot of hardcore off-roading, but I do take it into the camp a lot, and plan on taking it deer hunting, where I'll be travelling along worn out, old logging roads.

I apologize in advance for the flurry of argument that is about to occur, but I do appreciate any information. If you are offended by the question, please feel free to move along.

Thanks, Lads.

Shawn

I have the same truck, and ran 33x12.5 with no lift for a month or two. They fit, but I was also running 15x10" wheels, and I did have to trim my front bumper valance and fender flares (you'll need to turn the wheels to see where they hit them and then cut that area out). The goal is to cut as little as possible, but enough to clear the tires. The pic below is with no lift up front, but a spring lift in back. The front is the part where you would have issues, the back is irrelevant. I wouldn't recommend running my size unless you have wider wheels like I did.

New Tires

Hi!

Well, I figured I'd just try a few sizes out and see what I liked best. Turns out, these are perfect. A set of Toyo 265/75/R15 Open Country All-Terrains for my 2003 Ford Ranger Edge. They don't rub at all and look great. Got them on sale, too! Didn't have to adjust the torsion bars at all.

Cheers,
Shawn
