12.5 Wide on stock 7" Wide Rim....hmmmm

Alright, I am thinking about doing the dive and doing the spindle lift and putting 33's on. I know the RIGHT thing to do is to get aftermarket rims with some proper b/s and width. I want to jump the gun a little. Put on my lift and get some 33x12.5x15 buckshots. I know brian will have to hook me up here...

Whats you opinion? I know Deviousfred did a 3" BL on 33x12.5x15(x7) stock alcolas and he is running fine. I did a search for it and thats who came up. It's a white Lvl2 truck...05 i think

Anyways...I have enough money to buy it in the next couple days...I'm thinking about doing it.

I know it's not right...but for a few months would it be ok to run that 12.5 on a 7 wheel? I rotate my tires every 3k and they are always balanced and everything.

Opinions...discuss???

Oh yea...i read over on ORR that they were saying how you are LESS likely (actually they said almost impossible) to break a bead on a 12.5" wide tire on a 7" wide rim because the tire has 5.5" over the rim. They said it is more likely to break bead on a 10" wide rim...hmmmmmm

with 12.5s your minimum recommended wheel width is 8. you shouldnt have more than 4" of tired outside of the wheel.

acully this sounds odd as hell but of you mesure the BFG thread from side to side on a 33x12.5x15 its only like 10.5" from tread to tread. we did it at billz house after the lift i was suprised. and my 32x10.5x16 are like only 8" i think its more the side wall buldge idk it confuses me...

thanks for the help guys! I think I might try it out...how much are those buckshots???

I was going to get a viper 791xv...but that might get pushed back

i know the spindle lift w/ aals and alignment will run about 400 (i have a hookup at the place for an alignment...the guy gives them to me for about 50...depending on shims)

and tires i think were 505 shipped right???

that would be really cool if i could get that hooked up...that would be NICE!!!

how do you think that would look...i have the edge plus wheels...any pics???

edit: and how bad would it rub with stock suspension...or if i got AAL's at least to help with the rub in the back...my bars are cranked pretty good

i might have to do one step at a time...ie...tires first then lift. or should i just do lift first...ride on stockers for a while. then do tires
