dbl checked sticky

just came from my tire shop and they let me play in the tire room. put several tires side by side to compare hight and found that Daton 235 70 15 was the same hight as the 30 9.5 15s. that said the 30 9.5 15 was shorter than 265 70 15 and the 265 70 15s were shorter than 31 10.5 15s. so my question is will 265 70 15 fit under my truck without a lift 2002 2wd xlt?

265/70R15= 29.60x10.43R15. A 31x10.5R15 is not going to be exactly that big (tire manufactures never make the actual height/width as large as they claim. So the 31x10.5 should be roughly .5" larger then the 265/70.

According to this topic https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=20047
01-06

XLT & XL 2wd

* 15x7 stock - 215x75x15, 235x75x15, 235x60x15, 30x9.5x15, 31x10.5x15(may need to trim)
215x75x15= 27.7x8.46
235x75x15= 28.88x9.25
235x60x15= 26.1x9.25

So according to this it looks like the 265/70 would be a better fit then the 31x10.5

no you wont need to trim for 260/70r15 size tires, i run 30s that are just bigger than the size you want to run with no problems
