BFG AT-How tough?

BFG AT-How tough?
I had my stock 31'' BFG AT's for 23k miles, wore great. I'm running 32's now.
After a recent trail run, while running over some sharp rocks that had fallen onto the road, I thought to myself... How tough ARE these tires?
Well, how tough are they? Whose cut them on what?
How well do they hold a bead? Who's got the lowest PSI on them?

I've had two of my BFG tires punctured, but a quick trip to the tire shop and they were fixed (free).
You know I've always been curious though, has anyone ever tried taking these tires over those little spikes that you see at parking lot exits? The ones that have the warnings "dont back up" when you drive over them. Curious how the BFGs would hold up to those considering all the sharp rocks I've driven over without a problem...

I would not go below 10 PSI, below that and you will be risking damage to the inner sidewall. The out side will look fine but the inside will be shredded.
Working at a tire shop that only sells BFG and michelin I've seen quite a few BFG A/T's with things in them. Remember you have a 2 ton truck running over a point. If its long enough it will go through. They arnt made out of solid steel.

I've taken mine all over the place. I'm amazed that they don't leak or that I haven't gotten a flat yet. I have chunks missing, rips and tears in the sidewalls (nothing unsafe) and they still continue to hold their own every time I go wheeling. The only reason my next set will be BFG A/Ts is because they a last long time and they've proven themselves in the rocky terrain and have survived beating after beating in the desert out here. I've been with my dad in his F-150 while wheeling and shreaded a Micheline and two General tires but these BFGs have done great. I've heard local Jeep guys that do some pretty extreme rock climbing say they're terrible and they don't like them, but that is becasue they're not made for that. Anybody who uses these for their DD and weekend warrior wheeling these are great. I usually air down to 15psi. I don't want to go lower as I already have some rock rash on my rims and in the rocks with steep inclines and stuff I don't want to roll the bead.

tread isnt super aggressive, but they have really good handling feel, and get great traction in most weather.

just a suggestion, i have the bfg g-force t/a kdws on my grand prix, they wear awesome, tough as....nails? no, but they're pretty tough, and they're cheap as hell.
