drag radial: opinions and suggestions

I am going to be getting a set of drag radials for the 01, I have narrowed it down to three.Nitto nt555r, Mickey thompsons, and bfg comp drag. The size will be 315/35/17 or 26x12.50x17.anyways whats u guys opinion on these, the truck will still be mostly on the street so I dont want something that wears superfast, thanks for the help.

not much cheaper I have priced both, might as well get the 17's, and wont have to swap back and forth.

Anthony, I couldn't pass inspection at 12,000 miles on the drag radials on my mustang. Keep that in mind. They wear fast. I may have encouraged it a little, but still.......

i would go m/t or nitto. i pulled a 1.8 60' w/ my 00' gt w/ bolt on's w/ nitto 555r's 245/45/17. i tried the bfgs and just blew them off. i havent used the m/t's but ive heard nothing but good things about them. they were even illegal in the NMRA for a year when they first came out b/c they were too sticky

The M/Ts are going to be alot different than the others. If you are trying to get milage out of them then the BFGs or the Nittos might be your choice. If you are going to use them as a second set of tires go M/T. For ultimate traction there is no comparison between the M/Ts and something like the Nitto.

Go with the Mickey thompsons,i've had them on my 5.O and they are a great all around tire,i drive the car everyday rain, snow etc you just have to drive careful in bad weather, and they dont wear fast at all. The hook at the track with them is going to be so much greater than with the nittos or the bfgs. Plus nittos really really blow in the rain, there have bin several mustangs wreck on the forum im on because of nitto tires in the rain.
