fabtech tire carrier

i just received my fabtech angled spare tire carrier, but they forgot to add installation instructions. everything seems straightforward, except the two round 'disks" (one is plastic, the other, which is the exact replica except it is metal) i believe the plastic one sits on the carrier, the tire sits on that and then the "metal disk" goes on the center of the tire and the "tightening bar" twists down tightening the wheel to the carrier. am i correct with this assumption? also, on the end of the "tightening bar", there is a hole.. is this for a lock? thanks for the help, guys!

terrence.

i decided to wait it out. the company i was going thru (truck performance) kept sending e-mails: ship date nov 7, 14, 26, dec 7, 14, 20 (actually received it on the 20th. it's a good thing i'm a patient man! as for you "fabbing" your own, go for it. everyone say's fabtech is always 3-4 weeks behind in shipping their items.
