Airless Tires

Ugly looking things...

What pros cons can you see in these?

I heard about it from another forum...he pointed out spike strips becoming useless...

what about the sidewall/support things, what kind of lifespan do they have?

in the photo gallery, it kinda looks like the car is hovering with no tires...

great idea... but not for me... needs sidewalls...

those would be good in the construction industry like on a Bobcat or backhoe....since they run over sharp objects all the time...

The word on the street (here in Detroit) is that they will have side walls, the latest design that I don't have pictures of, looks like a standard tire, with that on the inside.......

Nice... that could be a great investment for a DD... I still like the idea of being able to change the tire pressure though under different circumstances. I want the CTIS or w/e it is (the thing that the real Hummers have)... that'd be freakin' sick.
