Ok so I went to the local off-road shop where i live. I asked the guy a question about gears and tires. The 4:56's are good but he told me that 35" tires may not fit?????? I mean by the end of this weekend I'll have a 3" body lift,4" susp lift with 2" spacers up front. Should i throw on 33" tires first to check the turning radius and flex and such first? Confused?????????

 

Go with 35's. When i put my spindles on and such they said i couldnt fit 35's either but i did just fine. GO for the 35's

 

i would definately find a buddy with 35s and test fit them before you shell out the cash for them. Here's my friend's 95 with:
a 5" procomp suspension lift, 3" body, and 33s. For a 4banger, this guy can tear it up!

 

Damn nice. Ill try to find someone with 35" tires. I know ill get more flex out of 33" But i really dont flex that uch. Not really a crawler of any type. Like the trails and mudd. See i dont get the fact how your buddy has a bigger lift than i do and still only runs 35" tires???? weird plus its not an extended cab so it should sit high (stock). Atleast my buds does. Almost level with me with my 3" body lift on. Thats sad

 

a shop around here told me that i couldnt fit 32 on a stock edge 2004 also but they are on there and no problems.

I have 35" if you feel like coming up here and swaping tires for a little while. I have the same set up 4in susp 2in body adn i had to trim fenders put the gen 3s are not as bad for fender clearance.

 

I might jus have to do that if no one around here has em. Might have to set up a date with ya boggers! By the way those are my favorite tires believe it or not! They just look mean!

 

Ben is running 35's on his with less lift than you're going to have. I think you should be alright as well.

 

Alot of people say run without my spacers up front? I THINK when i throw the 33's on and they look too small ill leave em out, but if they look to where tthey might rub might jus go ahead and leave em on just for comfort sake.

 

I am afraid you are comparing apples to oranges as ben has a IFS truck while fletch like me has a TTB front axle. And the body is differant

 

I also got that "stock dip" in the front as well. Butt my 2" leveling blocks help that out.

there isnt really to much with the body minus the front fenders hood and bumper grille all that junk which doesnt determain what size tire you can fit

 

The fenders have a lot to do with the fit and i do belive the hole cab is differant from 97 an 01. The fenders are what you have to wory about crushing. And the entire front end frame is differant

 

really its only the front frame how its is for the bumper it wont offect clearness and you realize a 93-97 has the SAME wheel opening as a 2005 ranger. all the sheet metal up front WILL NOT be any clearness restritions as a 2005. now the front suspensions are different but thats a no dur on that one. and another thing the Cab is not different they changed a little on the floor pan and behind the dash board but no it is not different now the 92 DOWN like your truck IS different completely

 

They'll fit. Your vendor is just covering his butt because he's not sure, which is what any sane company would do. If you don't know, then advise the customer of the possibility of failure and let them make the decision.

Even if they don't fit "perfectly" -- there's not way it's not going to be driveable and you can do the remedial work afterwards.
