biggest wheels that fit on 05' 2wd XL

Like the topic header mentions.....What is the biggest wheels I can put on a regular 2wd 2005 ranger XL? Also what kind of tires would I need to get for them.

you mean like 20's and up kinda wheels? You can fit 20's stock. Cause you really not going bigger, your just getting less tire.

maybe he meant wheel as in tire. 31s? i really dont know.

Ok so if I would get 20's then since I am gonna have less tire does that mean they will wear out faster then? I'm wanting to get some better looking aluminum wheels for my truck and I would ike to get bigger wheels not tires. I like the look of more metal and less tire.

No they won't run out faster. There is less sidewall with bigger rims, not less tread.

not unless you run them on the side walls


Actually you might get a bit of a harsher ride with a low profile tire since the high side wall of stock tires helps to cushion against bumps.
Make sure you keep your low profile tires inflated properly as it is easier to damage them due to road impacts (hitting potholes, etc...)
Choose a tire with a rim guard and look for a rim that does not extend beyond the tire bead to avoid curb rash.
