I've become a sheep.... BFG

I never wanted to try BFG cause everyone either loves them or hates them. I love the way they look, but never drove on them before. I have been tire shopping for some time now, and was settled on Firestone Destination A/Ts. THEN<> I went to Disscount Tire (tires.com) and was pricing. Never even asked about BFG but they offered the price....and I bit!!! I got one good deal (I think). 31x1050 BFG All-Terrains mounted w/ lifetime balance and rotation... FOR $540 OTD!!! Better than that, they gave me a 50,000 MILE WEAR WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never heard of a warranty like that on flotation tires.... and 50k is alot!! I am very happy. I will post some pics when I get some... tell me what you think. Good deal or what?

People only hate on BFG's because everyone has them. Apparently a good tire isn't good anymore once everyone has them. I guess it's like Indie music and emo kids.

Anyways, my BFGs have 53k on them and they've still got plenty of tread left! I'll be getting 32x11.5s once they wear out.

Hey man, you did the right thing. About 20 days ago i bought my set of BFG All-Terrains and last week i was off roading and blew my tire. The tire was no good! Took it back to discount tires, and they gave me a $170 tire plus a $20 road hazard warrenty (40,000 miles) for free!! Very satisfied!!!

Nah it's cause we're not tools, and have the free choice to try something different and possibly better. And cheaper also. Muccch cheaper.

What kinda pressure are you guys runnin? (bear in mind I have 31s) I started at 35 psi, and have been working down to the current 30. I don't think it would be good to go too much lower, but The outter lug (inside and outside) does not completely wear. Should I just leave it at 30 psi? I would guess this has to do with the fact that I have a 10.50 on a 7" rim?? Is that right, or do I need to air down more?

you should run the rear at about 30 psi and the front at 35 psi......BUT make sure you keep the tires rotated......and when you rotate, adjust the psi...
