Good Year DuraTrac

This is a new tire I believe. I think it looks pretty agressive and would be somewhat competitive with the BFG All Terrain. I wonder what kind of sidewall strength it has. It doesn't mention how many plies or what kind of special material/style like the new BFG KM2 or the new Goodyear Wrangler MTR.

I believe that this tire would perform better than those crappy rugged trails. The tread is interesting and seems effective on the DuraTrac. I think you ment Rugged Trail as I don't see any Rugged Terrains on BFGs website. Maybe you're talking about soemthing totally different and not the Rugged whatever I'm thinking of?

look at the rugged trail compared to the one posted above.(see link below)

BTW I'm not a fan of GoodYear tires and perfer BFG hands down overall, but there are always exceptions...

Looks pretty decent. See how much it weighs compared to the BFG AT's. I would imagine it would wear quicker than the At's tho

Yeah Rugged Trails are what I was talking about, atleast I think so. I saw some BFGs in costco the other day with what looked like the AT outer lugs and a more compact middle section.

Oh I like them. I hope they are as good as the Workhorses always were, why they quit the Workhorses for 15" rim is beyond me.

I also saw those Workhorses. They look pretty decent too. How were those tires for you? Long tire life? Traction? Sidewall strength? Thanks

Wow, I'm impressed. I would like to see them in person or in action first, but I'm going to definately consider these this summer when I put either 33s or 35s on.

I loved the Workhorses. Very cut and chunk resistant. Lots of work trucks and farm trucks have them. Long life also. I'd buy them again if they had the sizing. Couldn't hardly spin them on dry pavement. Never got stuck. If I couldn't go forward I could go backwards.

I'll be needing new tires towards the end of summer. I love my BFG All Terrains and they're worth the extra money. I'm also always willing to try something different if it's decent. Hopefully somebody will pick up this Dura Trac and let us know how it does. My main concerns out here in the desert is how bad do they chunk, chip, tear and the sidewall strength. My BFGs have chunks missing and tears in the sidewall, but it's expected with the sharp rocks and all the wheeling I do. It's just a matter of how long and how much abuse can they put up with.

I'll call my Goodyear guy this week and see if he can get them yet. I'm looking for a set and I like the looks of those depending on the pricing.

They seem like a Bridgestone Dueler to me, but what do I know, I am just assuming by tread patter/depth.

Does anybody know if the sidewalls are 2 or 3 ply? That GoodYear Kevlar new sidewall or maybe the MTR DuraWall I think they called it. I'm assuming it could be a weak cheap sidewall since there is no mention of it on their website or in the advertising.
