Goodyear RT/S and this past snow...
What is everyones opinion on these in regards to snow. We had about 8 inches here this past weekend and I'm feeling like these tires are lacking in the snow traction department. I know most people on this forum have an overall dislike for this tire and I'm mostly in agreement. I'm coming from a Bridgestone Dueler A/T and BF A/T on my Tacoma. These two tires were pretty much BOSS when dealing with snow. I'm talking about a foot of snow at least and simply handling some snow in 4wd. (My Tacoma Reg. Cab was pretty light)
I only bring this up since I feel I had to use the 4wd more than I should have with this tire today. I went WELL below the speed limit and used caution on below average roads here in S. Central PA. I have and 09 FX/4 for reference with a Leer Cap for a little bit of weight in the rear.

Thanks for the confirmations. So what is everyone liking for snow on the forum?
I'm leaning on going back to the BF A/T's or giving the Goodyear Duratracs a shot. I just would like to know everyones opinion as for fitment and usage on the ranger ext. cab. I know what works on my Tacoma. I don't plan on a lift, if anything just doing the torsion bar crank. And I don't use the truck that much for mud/offroading applications.

My dad's got the Duratracs on his f-150, we haven't had enough snow to really test them out yet, but I know they are supposed to do well in it because it has those little grippy things in b/w the tread. I love the look of them to. I've got the BFG All-terrains on my Ranger and there also really good in the snow, Your safe with either tire.

Can't go wrong with BFG's or Firestone/Bridgestone. I will never own a set of good years again. I hate them, I have many friends in the tire biz who won't let anyone they care about rung around on them. I have had 6 sets over the years tread separate on me. (Last set I own are on my caddy and they are dry rotted and cracked, new tires in the spring)
