Icon10 Got my tires on.

Well if you read my post last week I got 4 brand new General Grabber AT2's in
31x10.50xR15. I got them installed today and I absolutely love em. They screwed up and put the white letters on the inside even though I said I wanted the white letters out like 3 times. They are gonna reverse em on wednesday but anyway here they are. Makes the truck look so much better than the RT/S crap. I can't wait to take em off-road.

Here they are.

Ha Ha Ha nice. I was gonna go but I got alot to do this weekend and I am changing shifts so I will start going into work at 11 at night now so I pretty much lose Sunday this weekend. You'll have to post pics of your trip just to make me jealous :^) I will definetly let you know how they work. Gonna have to get spacers or different wheels with different backspacing though. I want em to at least stick out as much as the fender flares.

I like them alot. What did you pay for them?

You have to post pics with a better camera and white walls out. I am thinking about getting these tires.

Thanks,

I will take better pics with digital camera wednesday after they fix their screw-up and put the white walls out. I just took these with wife's blackberry. They were $507.72 from Tirerack and that includes shipping to my house. So $103 per tire. I am really happy but will do a report after I've had em a while.

Haha no ****, I have the same radio, peaked tuned and it has a swing kit.

I'm pushing a few hundred watts into my antenna and it takes it with no problems.

What mic are you running?
I have an Astatic D104-M6 MinutemanII and it sounds LOUD and clear.

Yeah I wan't to put the swing kit in mine just have other things up higher on the list at the moment. Those are really good antennas, of course they better be for what they cost. Right now I am just running the stock mic. Those Astatics are great mics. I am debating running a Turner RK56 or an Astatic. Not really sure.

Sorry for double post I am not sure how to do multiple quotes from different posts. I was thinking the same thing but I prefer white letters out. Granted it is harder to keep looking nice but as soon as I get some free time they will be dirty anyway. Just preference really. Now if I had some black wheels they would be white letters in.

Go with the Astatic D104-M6.

I forgot to add that mine has the super mod kit and larger final(s).

Heres more pictures of how I mounted mine.

Nice. I see you went with mag mount. I bolted my CB under the EATC. And yeah on the wheels. I don't want anything fancy that will just get scratched up. I was thinking about something like these. Now if I just knew how to photoshop those in to see what it would look like.

And for grins here is my Cobra

Ah, I see that yours has the power mic, you should be ok with that.

I would mount mine there but my shifter would hit it and I wouldn't be able to use the cup holders.

I don't think it is actually a power mic. I could be wrong. I did the 60/40 -> 40/40 in anticipation of an expo center console so I don't have cupholders anyway. I added talkback to mine for about 3 bucks If you want I can PM you a link on how-to. You only need 1 resistor. Anyway what do you think about those wheels. If I remember right they were like 40 bucks off of Summit.

My wheels look identical to those, only they are ProComp rock crawler series.

I wish I had a better pic, but I love em. I think they look a little bit better than most steelies but they are still cheap as hell.

That would be nice to have for adjusting an echo or something, but I don't have one.

I wouldn't get steel wheels, try to find some nice used alloys on craigslist or something.
You can new rims like mine for a little more then the steel rims.

Thanks Troy those look good and now I don't have to fart around with photoshop.

Daniel what is the downside to steel wheels? If I could find some alloys in black and they are much better but affordable I would definetly be willing to go that route.

alloy/aluminum wheels are lighter and balance better.

the less rotating mass the better mpg your going to get.

plus they look a million times better.
