285/75/16

I have done the search, and I can not find any info that helps. I have a stock 2001 Edge and I have found that a Torson bar crank should let me fit these. My question is that I use and abuse my truck like most people I gather on this site dont. I don't want to start a war here, but I still do some farm work so I beat my truck pretty regularly. If I went to 285/75/16 without a lift yet, how bad would the rear end rub when loaded down?? Like I said, I beat the truck badly towing trailers and hauling pretty heavy loads now and then. Any Help Would Be helpful!!!!

should fit, i almost did 285s then got 265s. others have ran them without problems.

also i pull a trialer all the time, 6800lbs behind the truck a couple weeks ago.

what u talking about heavy loads?

i ould just be woried about with the load, how well the tire will fit. its close with 265s

couple pics with 265s, but with 3 inch body lift. this worked fine without the lift, im guessing it will with the 285s also.

well, then only thing it will rub would be the wheel well splash guards, so you should be just fine.

Possibly on the front stabilizer bar as well, but only on full lock. That is the only place I can find on the front of mine where it rubbed with 33s on stock wheels.

Wow....I take it you have a brake controller in your truck. How much does that load weigh? I think ours is too much for my truck to pull.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. It is nothing uncommon for me to hook up to a 5500lbs trailer. I only have to pull it 1 or 2 miles but it does happen
