my old 97 xlt had like stock 25's or 26's i think. when i put 31s on it, i could DEFINITELY tell a difference in power. It wasnt a big enough power loss for me to not want to keep the bigger tires on though, thats for sure ;o)

heh the tires were so small on my stock 97 you could have mistaken them for golfcart tires. it was almost embarrasing to drive around with the stinkbug-lookin thing on stockers. looks over performance no doubt!

besides, i think the suspension lift added a good 20hp so it worked out ok

you can always regear the rearend

i put 31s on my 99 that orignally has 28s

it has a 3.73 rear now and i have a 4.10 geared rear end to install and i think it will help with some of the pickup

how much did it cost you for the tires I'm about to go get an estimate but I just want to know what to expect; I'm hoping I can trade in my 4 or 5 month old tires practically new. their summit Radial GTs

i have 31's on a 4.0 with 4.10 gears...theres no pickup...just torque...major torque

unless im on the highway...THEN i got the power...but from the light...i can pull a 3.0...but it might be close....
