If you are still sliding try using more than 300lbs, maybe 600. When i had my camaro it was worthless in the snow and i would put around 600lbs in the trunk and I could manage around. Also, from a stop start in 2nd gear rather than first, you should get less spin. And again the throttle is your worst enemy.

^^^ 600lbs? LOLOLOL... i think thats a bit much. Thats then going to affect stopping ability. 6-7 sandbags is tops in our size of truck for sure. I drive in the mountains up here in canada all the time, blizzards, whiteouts....

yea...im gonna have to agree with roddy...600lbs is a bit much...and also i drive an auto...but i figured out why i'm sliding...my tires suck. lol
