tire size change to change gearing
what tire size would effectivly turn my 3.73's to 4.10's? seems a set of tires/used rims would be a way to go rather than spend time/money on a gear change, and if it doesnt lead up to expectations its quick and easy (in comparison to a gear change) to change back to stock size tires. or would it just look stupid having tiny tires in wheelwells that had 235-15's stock ?(and 265's were a factory available size). im not sure if 4.10s would be enough and 4.56 is quite a jump. (plus you know id have to put a lock-rite or detroit locker in there while im in there)

yes, smaller tires= lower ratio. i occasonally pull a 6x10 trailer and i feel my truck would do better with lower gearing, why not try smaller tires first. but what i cant figure is what size tire i would need to go with. i pull it mostly oct-dec. its not huge, and only weighs 1,000 pnds empty but its taller than the truck (6' interior height) and i get alot of wind drag. not trying to use o/d but it really uses the fuel when pulling, even empty and aside form stepping up to a 1/2 ton/bronco i think gearing would be a posible answer. my stock size is 235-75/15s.
