any pics of a stock height 2wd on 18s?
with a 45 profile tire if possible ....
possibly buying a 94 ranger xcab tommorow and i found someone else locally selling some 5 spokes with 255/45/18s for $800 with lugnuts ... said they came off a 99 ranger so hopefully the lug pattern didnt change in 98 when they redid the body.

still would love some pics that way i know if i should put em on and it will be coo for a while or if i should focus my monetary resources on lowering it then gettin rims later. Im originally a honda guy and always would laugh at people puttin 17s on those at stock height ridin 4x4 status haha

The diameter of the 245/45 X 18's will be about .70 inches SMALLER then the stock 225/70 X 15's. So they should fill the wheel-well about the same as stockers, on a stock suspension. The thread width will be a bit wider, but not a problem. Your speedometer will be about 2.5% fast. At 60 MPH INDICATED, your true speed will be about 58.5 MPH.
I've got 235/50 X 18's on mine. Sorry, I had already lowered the truck when I went to 18's.

i would ask for a parts list for the drop, but as far as i know 97 and earlier rangers have a different front suspension setup

3 inch dropped ibeams in the front or you can run 2 inch coils or both together to get a 5 inch drop. Anything more than 2 inches of drop out of a coil you wont be able to align.
The rear is easy a flipkit which puts axle on top of the leafs will net you 5 inches of drop. They also make lowering leafs and what not to.
