id run 4.56s on the 33's thats what i got on my dd. average about 16-18 mpg highway and city, i tow a 2,200 lb pop up trailer with no problems, 800 lb quad in the bed no problem, and actually have a good crawl ratio in the woods. i wouldnt waste my money on 4.10s no a big enough jump for me.

dark trans fluid and black clutch packs are good right?
if so then don't bother with gears.

I changed my transmission fluid 2 times while running 33's and 3.73 gears. Each time was after about 20,000 miles; neither time was the transmission fluid black. It was as red as the new stuff going in.

ok i finally figured it out i have 373 gears, so i have decided that i amgoing to run 32s instead so that i dont have to change my gearing, and put two more inches under the truck via polys and shackles. what should i expect for MPG if i get around 14-15 on summer gas?

i wouldn't run coil spacers.

get some skyjacker 2" lift coils and some skyjacker shocks that are 2" longer.

3.73's should be ok for 32's but it will be kinda slow from a dead stop.

i have a 2.5L 4.10's and 32's.

as far as mileage, i have no idea yet.

i went from 3.73 to 4.10's when i had my 31's on and it made a big difference.

I'm runnin 4.10's with 35s... I get anywhere from 12-18 depending on where my foot is placed on the pedal... At least that's what I think I'm getting... I'm gonna borrow Shanes SG2 next week and find out for sure...

With 3.73's and 33's I was getting between 15 & 16 mpg. When I switched to 4.56's and 35's I went to about 18mpg on the high way and 16 in the city.

It all depends on your driving habits.

not all fords with automatics have 4.10's. mine is 4.0 with 8.8 size gears and 3.73's.

They have a 4.30 but there isn't a 4.30 for the D35. Therefore only 2wd guys can run the 4.30.
